Assam Secretariat Recruitment 2024
1. Additional Secretary
No of posts: 1 (UR)
Educational Qualification & Experience:
The candidate must have 7 years is the minimum of experience as a joint secretary or equivalent in any Assamese government department. Possess a solid understanding of both parliamentary practice and procedure and constitutional law. The preference will go to those with a bachelor’s degree in law from any accredited university.
Age Limit: The candidate should not be less than 50 years and more than 55 (fifty-five) years of age at the time of application.
Scale of Pay: 30000-110000/- + GP- 17500 P.M. in Pay Band – 4 and other admissible allowances.
2. Protocol Officer
No of posts: 1 (UR)
Educational Qualification & Experience:
The candidate must have a master’s degree in any field from an accredited university with at least 60% of the required credits.
The candidate must have four years of experience working for any government or semi-government office or organisation.
The applicant with the tourism and hospitality management degree will be given priority.The candidate needs to speak Hindi, Assamese, and English well.
Age Limit: The candidate should not be less than 35 years and more than 40 (forty) years of age at the time of application.
Scale of Pay: 30000-110000/- + GP- 14500 P.M. in Pay Band – 4 and other admissible allowances.
3. Language Reporter (Grade-II)
No of posts: 2 (UR)
Educational Qualification & Experience:
The applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree in commerce, science, or the arts from an accredited university.
No candidate may take the Assamese Speed Test at 100 words per minute unless they possess a certificate of stenography in Assamese with 80 words per minute from an Assamese government-approved institute.
The candidate needs to be proficient in Assamese DTP and computer applications.
Age Limit: The candidate should not be less than 21 years and more than 38 (thirty eight) years of age at the time of application.
Scale of Pay: 22000-97000/- + GP- 9400/- P.M. in Pay Band – 3 and other admissible allowances.
4. Assistant Librarian
No of posts: 1 (UR)
Educational Qualification & Experience:
A bachelor’s degree in library science from an accredited university is required of the candidate.
The ideal candidate will possess practical knowledge of digital libraries and five (five) years of experience managing libraries in reputable institutions, organisations, or government offices.
Age Limit: The candidate should not be less than 21 years and more than 38 (thirty eight) years of age at the time of application.
Scale of Pay: 14000-70000/-+GP-8700 P.M. in Pay Band – 2 and other admissible allowances
5. Stenographer Grade-III (English)
No of posts: 2 (UR-1, STP-1)
Educational Qualification & Experience:
The applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree in commerce, science, or the arts from an accredited university.
No applicant may take the 80 w.p.m. English speed test unless they hold a certificate in stenography from an Assamese ITI or another institution accredited by the Indian or Assamese governments.
The candidate must have adequate knowledge of Computer Application and good command over English Language.
Age Limit: The candidate should not be less than 21 years and more than 38 (thirty eight) years of age at the time of application where the upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for ST (P) candidates i.e. upto 43 years.
Scale of Pay: 14000-70000/-+GP-8700 P.M. in Pay Band – 2 and other admissible allowances
